Melanocortin agonists

PT-141 (bremelanotide) is a melanocortin receptor agonist and the most studied compound in this category. It shares a structural lineage with Melanotan II, which is why the two are often discussed together despite being investigated for different endpoints.

Neuroendocrine

Kisspeptin-10 is a decapeptide derived from the KISS1 gene product, studied in the regulation of gonadotropin release. Oxytocin is a cyclic nonapeptide hormone with a literature spanning social behaviour and reproductive physiology. HCG is a glycoprotein hormone rather than a peptide — a distinction that matters for storage and handling.
